Ronda Rousey May Have Had Legit Heat With Current WWE Champion

Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey is officially in the bad books of many WWE wrestlers.

Over the last week, the retired wrestler and MMA star has said quite a few disparaging things about her former employer and peers.

During an interview on The Lapsed Fan podcast, Rousey spoke about her refusal to tap out to Becky Lynch while also claiming that Vince McMahon was legitimately scared of her, even labeling him a ‘pervert.’

She also took a dig at one of WWE’s bookings involving Alexa Bliss, saying the only reason why their match was made was because Bliss had high merchandise sales.

The fact that they had me fighting Alexa Bliss at all was f*cking ridiculous. And you want to know why they had me against Alexa Bliss? Because she had the most merch sales at the time, on that side. Like, what the f*ck? Like, that’s your decision-making process?

Now, a former WWE manager believes that Ronda Rousey might have had real-life backstage heat with Bliss. Dutch Mantell discussed Rousey’s recent interview on his Story Time with Dutch Mantell Podcast.

When asked if her statement might have stemmed from a personal issue, the legendary manager said:

Absolutely! I was gonna say this. She just didn’t like her. Period. And didn’t want to work with her. They may have not gotten along in the back. Their personalities could have clashed. [7:11 onwards]

Ronda Rousey Slammed For Being “Classless”

After Ronda Rousey’s comments from the interview became public, many former WWE stars and personalities jumped to its defense.

Peter Rosenberg blasted the ex-MMA star during his own podcast, asking for a little class.

I’m not trying to say she is, you know, she should get the death penalty. Like, this is not the ultimate sin or anything, but like, can you just have a little class and not bury the people who work in the business day in and day out? This is a — This is a business that gave you a lot of money, a lot of fame, and you did quite well doing it, and you left when you wanted to. And I’m sure it wasn’t all perfect. Nobody’s job is.
