Reason Why Ronda Rousey Voluntarily Left FOX Reality Show
Ronda Rousey recently left the FOX reality show that she was part of and she did so for a very personal reason.
A new FOX reality competition show launched on June 5th called Stars on Mars with former WWE Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey as part of the cast full of celebrities.
Some of the other cast members on the show include former cyclist Lance Armstrong, NFL legend Marshawn Lynch, actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Natasha Leggero among others. It is hosted by William Shatner as well.
It is believed that the show was filmed earlier this year at some point. Ronda Rousey has been fairly active on WWE TV for most of the year, but she did miss time as well in part to heal an arm injury that she was dealing with.
In this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote about how Ronda Rousey voluntarily left the show even though she was doing well on it.
“Rousey voluntarily left the show ‘Stars of Mars’ on FOX on the 7/24 episode. She said she was struggling being away from her daughter. She was in no danger of being voted out because she had done well in every episode and came across with more personality and as more likable than she does on WWE television.”
“She also mentioned on her way out that she and Marshawn Lynch grappled and she said she was never able to take him down.”
It’s interesting that even though Rousey works for WWE and FOX airs Smackdown, the company chose not to promote it at all. That could be because it aired on Monday’s against Raw.
Rousey and her husband Travis Browne are parents to a daughter that she gave birth to in September 2021.
What Is Ronda Rousey Doing At SummerSlam?
As for her WWE career, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler agreed to a “fight” at SummerSlam in Detroit on Saturday, August 5th. The match was officially confirmed by WWE earlier this week.
Rousey and Baszler are legitimately good friends that were WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions together before Baszler turned on Ronda at Money in the Bank earlier this month. It is rumored to be the end of Rousey’s current WWE run.
