Ronda Rousey Dealing With Legitimate Injury

Ronda Rousey

‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey is dealing with what every WWE Superstar dreads, an injury while on the Road to WrestleMania 39 in just a few short weeks.

Ronda Rousey was originally meant to be part of a big tag team match on SmackDown in Washington D.C. where she was meant to partner with Shayna Baszler to take on Natalya and Tegan Nox.

However, on the show, WWE showed footage from earlier in the day where the two teams brawled backstage. As a result of that brawl, it was explained that Rousey suffered an arm injury and therefore Baszler would be facing Tegan Nox in a one-on-one match.

While, many believed Ronda Rousey’s injury to be part of the show, Wade Keller of PWTorch has reported that the injury is legitimate and that it is believed the former SmackDown Women’s Champion “aggravated a prior injury.” However, it is not believed that Rousey’s injury will impact the possibility of her having a bout at WrestleMania 39.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are believed to be planned for a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania after Rousey nixed her original plans for the event and pushed to team with her long-time friend and fellow MMA Four Horsewoman.
