Roman Reigns’ Next SmackDown Appearance Confirmed
Roman Reigns is heading back to WWE’s blue brand.
WWE has announced that Roman Reigns will be appearing on the New Year’s Revolution episode of SmackDown on January 5th. It’s already been confirmed that the show will host a Triple Threat Match between LA Knight, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles, with the winner going on to face Reigns at the Royal Rumble.
Knight was the most recent man to challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, losing out to the Tribal Chief back at Crown Jewel in November.
Also on the show, Kevin Owens takes on Santos Escobar with the winner of that match challenging Logan Paul for the United States Title at the Rumble. Paul will also be on the episode.
Elsewhere, IYO SKY defends the WWE Women’s Title against Michin, and Butch will team with a mystery partner against Pretty Deadly.
Roman Reigns Could Have Bigger Problems On The Horizon
While the Royal Rumble is beginning to loom large, Roman Reigns could be on a collision course with The Rock. The Great One made a surprise return to WWE on the January 1st episode of Raw and set social media on fire by referencing Reigns during a promo.
A match between the pair has been rumoured for a number of years, but many believe it could now be closer than ever.
