Roman Reigns Retains Title At WWE Crown Jewel

Roman Reigns

The reign continues as Roman Reigns successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Logan Paul at Crown Jewel.

Roman Reigns was already running SmackDown as The Tribal Chief and Universal Champion when he added the WWE Title to his collection at WrestleMania 38. Since then he had defended his undisputed title against the likes of Brock Lesnar, Matt Riddle, and Drew McIntyre before facing a very different type of challenge in Logan Paul.

In the lead-up to the bout, much had been made of ‘The Maverick’ being able to land one lucky punch on Reigns to dethrone him in only Paul’s third wrestling match of his career.

Paul came to the ring alone while Reigns was flanked by his Special Counsel Paul Heyman. The Usos would make their presence felt later in the night as they took out Paul’s entourage at ringside. This brought out Jake Paul – complete with entrance – who took out both Usos – the men that will fight to become the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions on SmackDown.

Following that melee, it came down to Logan Paul and Roman Reigns one-on-one again and one spear made the difference with Reigns picking up the win.

With Logan Paul now in Reigns’ rearview mirror, The Tribal Chief will now celebrate 800 days as Universal Champion in WWE as he smashes past another historic milestone.
