Roman Reigns References AEW On WWE Raw

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes have been on a collision course ever since Rhodes returned to action and won the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble and their showdown looks like it will be more personal than ever.

Rhodes’ Rumble win catapulted him into the main event of WrestleMania 39 where he will face the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. In recent weeks, the two men have discussed The American Dream Dusty Rhodes who Reigns learned from during his time in NXT.

On Raw in St. Louis, the two men upped the ante once again as Roman Reigns alluded to Cody Rhodes’ time in AEW. Reigns accused Rhodes of being a runner – saying that he was unhappy with his Stardust character so he ran away from WWE in 2016 before telling The American Nightmare that he started a promotion that he “couldn’t get over in” so he ran back to WWE.

Cody Rhodes responded that he did run away but through his actions and helping start the rival promotion of AEW, everyone in the locker room was feeling the benefit of increased pay. Rhodes then tries to play havoc with Reigns’ family getting in the mind of Solo Sikoa who was eventually called off by his Tribal Chief.
