Roman Reigns recently completed filming his scenes for the Street Fighter movie.

A recent post on X showed the Tribal Chief with the movie’s director, Kitao Sakurai, in Australia. Subsequently, he made his triumphant return to WWE on RAW during the September 29 episode.

He is now scheduled to face Bronson Reed of The Vision in an Australian Street Fight match at Crown Jewel on October 11.

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, the 40-year-old wrestler revealed how his WWE mindset helped him transform into his character, Akuma, in the movie.

I’m so used to my WWE bubble and that process. Being live, jetting in and jetting out, having the bus and my own creative space. I had to rewire myself to be ready for a different process. There was one moment in time where I was like, ‘This is what being a movie star feels like.’ Being in that little bubble was cool. It’s interesting because everything I’ve learned in WWE and all these skills I’ve acquired and sharpened, they all translate. [H/T: Ringside News]

Roman Reigns Teases Akuma Transformation In New Video

Roman Reigns will play Akuma, a secondary villain in the Street Fighter series, in the 2026 film.

The former WWE Undisputed WWE Champion recently shared a teaser video on X, which showed him transforming into Akuma.

In the video, Reigns can be seen entering an indoor facility, where an arcade machine is stationed with the Street Fighter game ready to be played. In the game, Akuma and Ryu can be seen on the opposite sides.

Reigns looks at the camera and gives a wry smile, when suddenly his eyes turn red, and he walks away.

Street Fighter will release on October 16, 2026 and will also feature Cody Rhodes as Guile.
