Roman Reigns To Find Out WWE Royal Rumble Opponent
Roman Reigns has been the unbeatable WWE Universal Champion for over 1,200 days but could that reign come crashing to an end at the Royal Rumble?
AJ Styles made his surprise return to WWE SmackDown on the 15th of December and immediately set his sights on settling a few scores. Styles helped Orton and LA Knight fend off The Bloodline after Solo Sikoa took Styles out of action several months ago.
However, The Phenomenal One clearly hadn’t forgotten who jumped in to take his place in a tag team match with John Cena as a result of Sikoa’s attacks as he levelled Knight with a forearm to the face for good measure.
Roman Reigns Faces Huge Royal Rumble Challenge
On SmackDown in Green Bay, Wisconsin, AJ Styles explained his actions and revealed he was only after one man – Roman Reigns. That brought out both Randy Orton and LA Knight who were then followed by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.
Aldis explained that at SmackDown New Year’s Revolution on January 5th, Knight, Orton, and Styles would clash in a triple threat match with the winner moving on to face Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble for the WWE Universal Championship.
At #SmackDown: New Year's Revolution it'll be: @AJStylesOrg vs. @RealLAKnight vs. @RandyOrton 🔥
Winner gets @WWERomanReigns at #RoyalRumble! 👏👏👏

The night ended with Styles defeating Sikoa by disqualification but the big story was all three potential challengers working together to send the entire Bloodline scurrying from the ring.
