Rob Van Dam Says AEW Star Is A Version Of Him
Rob Van Dam feels a connection with one of AEW’s biggest stars.
Orange Cassidy has been winning fans and winning championships since signing with AEW in 2019. The star’s unique approach and laid-back personality have set him apart from the competition, and he stands as a two-time International Champion, as well as being the current title holder.
Speaking on his 1 of a Kind podcast, veteran Rob Van Dam gave his thoughts on Cassidy, who he believes is a version of himself.
“Cassidy is a version of me, you know, because he’s so laid back and relaxed and doesn’t give a f**k. I see that. When I first realized, you know, what was important to this guy, you know, his value system. Just looking at Orange Cassidy, I was like, yeah, they took one side, one perspective of me and fu**ing really exploited it into a new character and I like it.”
Rob Van Dam Open To More Matches In AEW
RVD has become a popular presence in AEW since making his debut back on August 2nd. Since then, Van Dam has continued to make occasional appearances, most recently teaming with Hook to defeat the Dark Order on October 25th.
While he’s not a full-time AEW star, Rob Van Dam recently revealed he’s open to having more matches with the company.
