Rob Van Dam High On Yet-To-Debut WWE Star

Rob Van Dam is tipping a new WWE signing for success.

Prior to WrestleMania, it was reported that Jacob Fatu had told those close to him he’d signed with WWE after leaving MLW in February. Meanwhile, several outlets have appeared to confirm he’s now under a WWE contract.

It’s even been suggested that WWE is concerned the arrival of Jacob Fatu could overshadow Solo Sikoa and his rise to the head of The Bloodline.

On a recent episode of his 1 Of A Kind with RVD podcast, WWE and ECW legend Rob Van Dam was full of praise for the star.

“Yes, I have. He’s very good. I was very impressed with him. I saw him in LA at PCW, Pacific Coast Wrestling. I was there, and I was very impressed with him. For being a big dude, I like the way that he does the double-jump springboard moonsault, and that just stuck out in my mind.

Obviously, he does a lot more than that, and he’s a really good wrestler. He’s been around for a while, making a lot of noise,”

Rob Van Dam Could Return To WWE

Speaking back in April, Rob Van Dam admitted he’d be open to returning to WWE — but only if the company made the first move.

The veteran said he’s too fearful of rejection to approach WWE directly, but would answer the phone should the call arrive. RVD hasn’t wrestled for WWE since 2014, although he’s continued to make occasional on-screen appearances.

The ECW legend was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021.
