Rising AEW Star Facing Uncertain Future
A new report has shed some light on the future of one rising AEW star and while they’re expected to stay put, it seems they could be near the end of their deal.
Daniel Garcia has been part of All Elite Wrestling since 2021 gaining notoriety with a series of matches with Bryan Danielson and popularity with his special dance.
On Dynamite Beach Break, Daniel Garcia got a shot at Will Ospreay’s International Title, one week after he was challenged to a match at All In by MJF. Garcia failed to defeat Ospreay and that led to MJF turning on Garcia, leaving him bloodied and battered in the ring before Ospreay returned to chase the former AEW World Champion off.
Daniel Garcia’s AEW Future Uncertain
Now Fightful Select has shared some information surrounding the future of Daniel Garcia in AEW. Their report notes that Garcia’s contract was set to expire in the fall of 2024 and that would still be the case if he has not re-signed with Tony Khan’s company.
However, it might not be a case of Garcia hurtling towards free agency as a top AEW name stated that they don’t think Garcia is going anywhere, going as far to suggest he’s already re-signed. Those close to Garcia had noted that his future could come into sharp focus soon but the star himself remained tight-lipped on the situation.
