Rikishi Gives Interesting Take On Jade Cargill’s WWE Title Win

Jade Cargill poses with the WWE Women's Championship

Jade Cargill is the new WWE Women’s Champion.

After a period of an underwhelming run, Cargill finally found her momentum when she returned from her brief hiatus as a heel. She instantly targeted Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship and wrestled for the same at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 10 to become the new champion.

Speaking on his Off The Top podcast, WWE legend Rikishi congratulated the new champion. He highlighted that Jade Cargill was cut out to be a champion and was happy with her push in WWE.

She’s smartened up. She’s smart. I mean, a person like that, that looks like that, that type of body, that type of, you know, feature. All she needed was just a little help. She just needed a little help. She had the look of everything. That’s a marquee look. Absolutely. That’s a money look right there.
But you needed to have her kind of, you know, put in a little bit more reps with somebody that kind of has her work the way she looks. And now I’m so happy that, you know, finally, that, you know, she got the responsibility of being able to be the Women’s World Champion [sic]. So, congratulations to you, but know this that the work does not end here for Jade Cargill. (From 30:31)

Jade Cargill Aims To Elevate The Women’s Division

After her grand victory at SNME, Jade Cargill recently appeared on the Rob Brown Show, where she shared her future goals as the new champion. She stated she wants to take the women’s locker room to new heights.

“I’m just starting, but I’ve always had ‘Champ’ written across my forehead and body. That’s what I am. That’s what I do. It feels astonishing. I’m here to raise the stakes. I’m here to elevate this title. That’s what I plan to do. That’s what I’m going to do.

I don’t want to carry my baby in a backpack. I don’t want her suffocating. This is my child. This is legacy. This is going to do nothing but elevate the women’s division and the women’s locker room. I’m not hiding her. Why would I do that?” [H/t to Fightful]
