Riho Makes Comeback To AEW On Dynamite
Former AEW Women’s Champion Riho is once again All Elite!
On the Tuesday, October 18, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite, Riho send shockwaves across the wrestling community, making a comeback to All Elite Wrestling.
During the show, interim AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm squared off against Hikaru Shida in defense of her title, however, Jamie Hayter and Rebel would interrupt the match to attack Storm. Then, Riho would make her appearance, coming out to save the current champion by taking out each Hayter and Rebel, and afterwards, she raised the hand of Storm showing her respect.
Since May, she has been away from All Elite Wrestling and competing in Japan in several matches, with one being at the Tokyo Game Show, when she was representing AEW.
The last time that she was in the ring with AEW was in a trio match during a May AEW Dark: Elevation show, which came two weeks after her elimination from the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, losing in the first round.
Back in January, she would square off against Britt Baker, who was the AEW Women’s Champion at the time, and would lose the match for the strap at the very first Battle of the Belts. During the match, Riho broke her collarbone, being out for several months as a result.
After Tuesday’s altercation on Dynamite, Riho and Jamie Hayter are scheduled for an official match next week.
