Ricochet Challenged To Stipulation Match At AEW Double Or Nothing
A major rival of Ricochet wants a match at AEW Double or Nothing.
When Ricochet jumped to AEW in the summer of 2024 after being in WWE for nearly a decade, many fans likely assumed he would remain in the same babyface role he was in during his WWE run.
Instead of doing the same thing in AEW, Ricochet turned heel and had a memorable rivalry with Swerve Strickland. While Swerve ultimately won that rivalry by winning their last match, Ricochet has become a bigger star by annoying the fans.
Many AEW fans love to chant “Bald” at Ricochet, who has been bald for most of his career and sell the chants by acting as if it bothers him.
Ricochet was in a match at AEW Dynamite Beach Break when he faced off against wrestling veteran Zach Gowen, who has been in the business for over 20 years and is known mainly for having one leg. Gowen showed a lot of heart in that match but wasn’t able to get the win after his cocky opponent hit a Spirit Gun lariat for the win.
After the match, Ricochet continued his attack on Gowen until Mark Briscoe ran out to the ring for the save, and Ricochet ran away to avoid a fight. Briscoe knew Gowen from their ROH days, so he was happy to do the right thing.
Mark Briscoe Wants To Face Ricochet In A Stretcher Match
In a post-Dynamite video on AEW’s social media channels, Mark Briscoe issued a challenge to Ricochet:
“Ricochet, you have been the perpetual thorn in my side … the proverbial chap of my ass … so it’s about time we ended this!”
Briscoe challenged Ricochet to a Stretcher Match at AEW Double or Nothing on May 25th in Phoenix. Ricochet hasn’t accepted yet, but it does appear that it will be made official for Double or Nothing.
