Ricky Starks Set For WWE Contract Signing

Ricky Starks is set to sign his WWE contract on the 18th February edition of NXT.

After weeks of speculation the former FTW Champion made his shocking NXT first appearance on the 11th February, arriving through the crowd before soaking up the chants of the stunned fans in attendance:

“It’s obvious you know who I am. If NXT is the future of professional wrestling, well guess what, you need an absolute superstar on the future. If this is the hottest brand…well you need the hottest free agent right now, baby.”

The company have yet to mention Starks by name, fuelling speculation at a potential name change for the 34 year-old star.

All is set to be revealed on the upcoming edition of NXT, however, with the 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Cup winner taking to social media to announce the much anticipated contract signing.

Ricky Starks Debut Compared To Memorable WCW Moment

Ricky Starks’ NXT debut has been compared to Scott Hall’s WCW arrival by Eric Bischoff.

The WWE Hall Of Famer masterminded the 1996 signing of both Hall and Nash to WCW in a move that sparked a huge change in the landscape of professional wrestling.

Bischoff had high praise for the way WWE handled Starks’ surprise debut and noted the similarities to Hall’s first WCW appearance.
