Ricky Starks Hits Back At AEW Creative Claims

Ricky Starks

Ricky Starks has finally broken his silence over claims he rejected pitches to return to AEW as his absence from the company continues.

Ricky Starks hasn’t wrestled in AEW since teaming with Big Bill to take on Top Flight on the March 30th edition of Collision. At the time there were rumours Starks had suffered an injury, but he’s repeatedly denied that this is the case.

During an interview with WhatCulture Wrestling in May, Ricky Starks again reiterated that he was not injured and said his absence from AEW was not up to him:

I was never put on an injury list or anything like that. I have no answers. People ask me all the time, ‘Well, why aren’t you…’ I don’t know. I have no clue. That isn’t up to me. It does suck, obviously, to not be on TV, but the support in people online and people sending me messages is very, very sweet and endearing, and very encouraging, from that standpoint.

Ricky Starks Rejects AEW Creative Claims

Despite that, there have been suggestions Ricky Starks has turned down creative pitches from AEW to return to the company but now the star himself is taking issue with that narrative.

Ricky Starks took to social media to hit back at claims he has rejected creative pitches as he wrote:

Enough is enough. Usually I don’t even speak on this but it’s tired I never turned down anything, EVER. Just Stop.

WWE is believed to be very interested in bringing in Starks but it remains uncertain when his deal with AEW expires that would allow him to follow the likes of Shawn Spears, Jade Cargill, Ethan Page, Lexis King, and Cody Rhodes to WWE.
