Rhea Ripley Called Out By WWE Champion For A Match

A WWE star wants to face Rhea Ripley.

Kendal Grey began her WWE career, signing with the company in October 2023 as part of the NIL (Next In Line) program. She officially debuted on TV on March 29, 2024, on NXT Level Up, initially competing in tag matches alongside Carlee Bright.

Over time, Grey worked her way up through WWE’s developmental system, appearing frequently on NXT and NXT Level Up, showing improvements in her in-ring skills and solidifying her presence.

A major milestone in her WWE career came on October 15, 2025, when Kendal Grey defeated Kali Armstrong to win the WWE Evolve Women’s Championship on the October 15th edition of WWE EVOLVE.

Kendal Grey Wants To Lock Horns With Rhea Ripley

The new WWE Evolve Women’s Champion recently attended an interview with The Wrestling History Channel, where she shared she would love to face off against Rhea Ripley on the WWE main roster someday.

She acknowledged Ripley’s size advantage but believes her own speed and technical wrestling skills could make their match really exciting and unique. She is clearly inspired by Ripley and looks forward to that potential showdown in the future.

“There’s so many. But if I had to pick one, I’d probably say Rhea Ripley. I think she’s so cool, so badass. With her size and my size. I know I’m a lot smaller than her, but I think with my speed and technicality, it could be a really cool matchup. I would say, for sure, Rhea Ripley.”

Speaking of Rhea Ripley, she recently suffered a serious injury during WWE’s Japan tour on October 17 and 18, 2025. The injury happened at a live event held at Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

During a four-way match for Stephanie Vaquer’s Women’s World Championship, Ripley suffered a broken nose and heavy facial bruising. Despite the damage, Ripley showed great resilience and kept her spirits high, even posting photos of her swollen nose with some humor on social media.

WWE officially confirmed Ripley’s broken nose injury on October 20 during Raw. Fans are now left to wonder how long she’ll be sidelined because of her injury.
