“Mami’s Gonna Put The Man Down” – Rhea Ripley On Potentially Facing Becky Lynch
Rhea Ripley has made it clear that she wants to have a big match with Becky Lynch and now that they are both healthy, it could happen very soon.
The Women’s WarGames Match at Survivor Series opened the show with a lot of action. The heel team led by Bayley also included IYO SKY, Dakota Kai, Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley, who is back in action after missing a few months with an injury.
Also returning from injury in that Women’s WarGames Match was Becky Lynch in her first match since SummerSlam on July 30th. Lynch joined Bianca Belair’s team along with Asuka, Alexa Bliss and Mia Yim.
During the WarGames match, Ripley and Lynch had a showdown where they exchanged some moves while the fans reacted strongly to it, which shows that they really want to see it as a singles match. Lynch would go on to get the win for her team with a leg drop splash off the top of the cage while putting SKY and Kai through a table. Lynch covered Kai for the pinfall win.
Rhea Ripley appeared on WWE’s The Bump this week to talk about how much she wanted to face Ripley in a high-profile singles match.
“I’m really looking forward to it. Becky is someone that I had a match with in NXT, and it didn’t finish with a conclusion. It finished with Shayna and the girls coming out and ruining that match for me. She’s always been someone that I feel I could like a televised match with and it’d be competitive. So every time I get to step in the ring, I’m looking forward to it, and I want that one-on-one interaction. I want that match.”
“I’m hoping that one day, it will happen, and ‘Mami’ is gonna put ‘The Man’ down.”
In case you don’t know, Ripley calls herself “Mami” especially when she’s around Dominik Mysterio, who is part of The Judgment Day group with her.
Since Ripley is on the Raw brand along with Lynch, perhaps that one-on-one match will happen soon.
