Rhea Ripley – “I Want My Title Back”

Rhea Ripley has made it clear that she wants her title back – the Raw Women’s Championship.

As the lone female member of the four-person Raw stable known as The Judgment Day, Rhea Ripley has had a huge spotlight on her because of how she has helped out her allies Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio win matches.

At Crown Jewel, The Judgment Day beat The OC in a six-man tag team match with Ripley as the difference maker once again. In the match, Ripley attacked AJ Styles by sending him into the ring apron when the referee wasn’t looking. Balor capitalized on the situation and pinned Styles shortly after that.

Ripley had an interesting backstage moment on the November 7th episode of Raw when she had a brief staredown with Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, who was up next for a promo segment. Since Belair successfully beat Bayley at the last two Premium Live Events, it would make sense to have Ripley step up as Belair’s next title challenger, which is likely why that segment took place.

In an interview with USA Network Insider, the former Raw Women’s Champion Ripley explained what that staredown with Belair meant.

“I want my title back. That moment was me saying, ‘I’m coming for you, Bianca.’ Especially because before I got injured, I was the number one contender and then everything slipped out of my grasp. But I’ve got the championship in my sights, that’s the message I was sending on Monday.”

What Ripley was referring to is that she earned a Raw Women’s Title shot against Belair at June’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, but Ripley was injured and taken out of the title match. Ripley never got the title shot that she earned. Ripley previous held the Raw Women’s Title in 2021 after winning it at WrestleMania 37 for 97 days.

With WarGames coming up at Survivor Series, Ripley was asked if she would like to be a part of it.

“There’s always an itch to be in WarGames. Especially because I was part of the first-ever women’s WarGames in NXT, I know what that match brings — and I know what you have to bring to that match as well. I’m hoping I can be part of the one at Survivor Series … to be honest, I don’t know what will happen, but if I get asked to be a part of it, I can’t say no.”

The Women’s WarGames match will see Belair teaming up with Asuka & Alexa Bliss against Damage CTRL’s Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY. Nikki Cross joined Bayley’s team as well. That means Belair’s team is looking for two teammates while Bayley’s team has one spot open, so we should find out more information about that match soon.

It’s certainly possible that Ripley could be part of Bayley’s team unless WWE decides to go with other options.
