Rey Mysterio Unmasked In New Photo With WWE Star

Rey Mysterio

WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has been spotted without his trademark mask as his LWO partner Santos Escobar shares a photo of the pair following a big night in Mexico.

For the first time since reviving the LWO, Rey Mysterio was in Mexico for two huge WWE shows in the country. On the 22nd of July, Mysterio headlined an event in Mexico City where he unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship.

One night later in Monterrey, Mysterio was representing the LWO as he teamed up with Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde to pick up a big win over Imperium that no doubt left Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER less than impressed. Santos Escobar did not fare as well as his teammates as he failed to defeat Austin Theory for the US Title on the same show.

Taking to social media, Santos Escobar thanked Mexico for its hospitality as he shared a photo of himself and Rey Mysterio who used a hand to cover at least some of his usually masked face.

Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio might well be partners but they will be opponents on the 28th of July edition of SmackDown in the final of the US Title Invitational with the winner going on to face Austin Theory for the gold.
