Retiring WWE Star To Have A Farewell Tour After John Cena?
At the 2024 WWE Money in the Bank PLE, John Cena announced his retirement from wrestling.
He went on to clarify that 2025 would be his final year as a wrestler, and that each of his appearances would be a backward countdown to his departure from the company.
Cena now has three appearances remaining, with his next date set for November 17 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
While there is no official confirmation on what capacity he will appear in, a recent Netflix video stated that he would be in a match on WWE RAW.
It will also be his final appearance on the red brand before he competes at Survivor Series: WarGames on November 29, followed by his last match at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII on December 13.
In the meantime, a tournament named “Last Time is Now” is underway to determine John Cena’s final opponent at SNME.
Sheamus and Rusev have advanced to the next round. On SmackDown, The Miz will take on Jey Uso, whereas LA Knight will face a mystery opponent..
Is AJ Styles Getting A WWE Retirement Tour After John Cena?
Amid the buzz surrounding John Cena’s retirement, wrestling veteran AJ Styles announced that 2026 would be his last year in the business.
This has led to fans speculating about whether he would get a retirement tour, too.
If it were up to the 48-year-old WWE star, he would prefer retiring quietly.
The Phenomenal One appeared on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast recently, when he was asked about a potential match with CM Punk.
While Styles claimed it to be a great idea, he said that he wouldn’t hold it against the company if that did not happen.
I could ride off into the sunset and be okay with it. I don’t have to have a AJ Styles retirement tour. I don’t have to have that. I don’t need that. I just want to be able to do it my own way. And literally, you don’t have to know that I even left. I could just be gone.
