Retired WWE Star Backstage At Raw

WWE Raw Stage

A former WWE Superstar who has retired from the ring was backstage at Monday Night Raw in Wilkes-Barre, PA according to a report.

Gene Snitsky made his WWE debut in September 2004 in memorable fashion as he took on Kane. Part of Kane’s storyline at the time was that he was with Lita and had gotten her pregnant. As Lita pleaded with Kane not to injure Snitsky, he pushed Kane into Lita and caused her to lose her baby.

Snitsky then became known for his unfortunate catchphrase of “it wasn’t my fault” as he declared his innocence over Kane and Lita’s misfortune. This innocence was somewhat mitigated by his choice to punt a doll representing the unlikely couple’s baby into the crowd on WWE television.

Snitsky’s final televised WWE bout came in November 2008 when he lost to CM Punk on Raw and he left the company just a few short weeks later.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that Snitsky was backstage at Raw on the 7th of November:

“Gene Snitsky was backstage at tonight’s WWE Raw.”

Snitsky is relatively local to the Wilkes-Barre area so there it is more than likely he was visiting rather than any plans to have him appear on the show.
