Retired AEW Star Reunites With Ricochet

Ricochet AEW

One star whose in-ring days in AEW look to be over has reunited with their old rival Ricochet as the high-flyer says he feels at home in the company.

On the April 27th episode of Rampage, Chuck Taylor took on Trent Beretta in a wild Parking Lot Brawl. When all was said and done it was Beretta who had his hand raised, and on the following episode of Dynamite, it was revealed Chuck Taylor would never wrestle again after suffering a serious injury.

On the May 8th episode of Dynamite, Orange Cassidy got revenge with a win over Beretta, only to be beaten down after the match. Meanwhile, on commentary, Excalibur gave an update on Taylor’s condition, confirming the star will need surgery on a broken ankle and his injury is likely career-ending.

A Pair Of Kentucky Gentlemen In AEW

Now for the first time, Chuck Taylor has been spotted as he reunited backstage with new AEW star Ricochet after Ricochet picked up a win in his home state of Kentucky on Dynamite against Sammy Guevara.

The reunion was caught in a digital exclusive and Ricochet shared his thoughts on Chuck Taylor being there and noted that AEW feels like home:

That’s awesome. Chuck Taylor, bro. Literally my first day of training, he was there to help me out, and he’s been there basically my whole career.

So to answer your question, it feels awesome to be here, All Elite Wrestling, where the best come to wrestle. Not only that, but I have so many friends in the back, it honestly feels like home to me, so I’m just ready for the future and what I got to do here at All Elite Wrestling.

Chuck Taylor and Ricochet’s history dates back to 2005 and over the years they shared the ring dozens of times in promotions such as Chikara, Dragon Gate, CZW, and PWG. Chuck Taylor was the man who defeated Ricochet for the PWG World Title in the star’s final match before joining WWE in 2018.
