Real Reason Ricochet Forced To Miss AEW Dynamite

Ricochet has a huge title match ahead of him at AEW Dynasty but there was an even bigger reason for him to miss Dynamite.

At AEW Revolution, Kenny Omega beat Konosuke Takeshita in a spectacular match to win the AEW International Title, which was an incredible feat for Omega after missing over a year of action due to diverticulitis.

Orange Cassidy, Speedball Mike Bailey, Ricochet, and Mark Davis were the four men who qualified for a four-way match with the right to challenge for Omega’s title at Dynasty on the line. However, it turned out not to be as straightforward as that.

In the end, Bailey pinned Davis with a backslide pin and Ricochet also pinned Davis at the same time while Ricochet put his feet on the ropes. The referee counted the pinfall, unaware Ricochet had cheated and both Mike Bailey and Ricochet were declared as winners with a three way title match made for Dynasty.

Ricochet & Samantha Irvin Getting Married

On the March 26 edition of Dynamite, Kenny Omega defeated Blake Christian before Speedball Mike Bailey confronted him. Ricochet interrupted the pair via a video where he revealed he wasn’t at the show as he was preparing to marry former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin.

Ricochet and Samantha Irvin were engaged in January 2023. Irvin left WWE in October 2024 and in February 2025 teased that she’d be happy to return to the wrestling world which led to many rumours about joining AEW but so far that has not come to fruition.
