WWE’s Ricochet And Samantha Irvin Get Engaged
Congratulations are in order for WWE Smackdown star Ricochet and ring announcer Samanta Irvin.
On the December 23, 2022 episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown that was taped one week earlier, Braun Strowman and Ricochet teamed up against Imperium in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight match. During the match, they did a spot where Ricochet was knocked out on the floor, so Strowman grabbed a mistletoe, held it over his partner and the lovely ring announcer Samantha Irvin planted a kiss on Ricochet.
At the time, WWE’s Michael Cole said on commentary that Ricochet and Irvin were a couple, which didn’t really get acknowledged before that. They are no longer just boyfriend and girlfriend because they are now engaged to be married.
It was announced by Ricochet on Instagram that he proposed to WWE Smackdown ring announcer Samantha Irvin. Ricochet posted this lovely message on Tuesday.
“When you find that one person. The one person that when you close your eyes you could never visualize life without them… you keep them close to your heart. Now we are closer than ever. @samanthairvinwwe I love you so much ♥️♥️”
During his WWE career, Ricochet is a former Intercontinental and United States Champion while also holding the NXT North American Title. Ricochet is well-regarded for being one of the best high-fliers in WWE that has had some memorable matches of late against the likes of Santos Escobar and GUNTHER recently.
As for Samantha Irvin, she worked for WWE on shows like NXT and 205 Live before joining Smackdown as the main ring announcer in January 2022. She is praised a lot by fans for the fantastic job she does in introducing wrestlers for their matches.
Samantha Irvin’s birthday was on Monday, January 9th so it was a great time for Ricochet to propose. Congratulations to the happy couple.
