Surprising Reason Behind 13-Time WWE Champion’s Raw Absence

One multiple-time WWE champion was missing from Raw for a rather unusual reason.

The New Day have not been the same since they lost the World Tag Team Championship over the summer to The Judgment Day. In mourning ever since, the group took to wearing black and perhaps even more bizarrely, they’ve welcomed Grayson Waller into their ranks.

On the October 20th edition of WWE Raw, Waller and Kingston were both in attendance, and they revealed that Xavier Woods was not there because the disrespect he’s receiving from fans is driving him insane.

Woods might have wished he’d bothered to turn up as Kingston and Waller were both part of a number one contender’s battle royal with a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship on the line.

Jey Uso Challenging For WWE Title

That battle royal came about after Seth Rollins was stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship due to a serious injury. That came one week after The Vision shockingly betrayed Rollins, ending his association with the group.

AJ Styles eliminated Kofi Kingston from the battle royal while Grayson Waller was thrown over the top rope by The Usos. Jey Uso eventually picked up the win after shockingly eliminating his brother Jimmy. Jey Uso will now take on CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1st.
