Real Reason Behind Roman Reigns’ Rematch With Sami Zayn
Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn went to war at Elimination Chamber in Montreal over the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and with a quick rematch on the horizon, the real reason has emerged for Reigns-Zayn II.
The Bloodline imploded at the 2023 Royal Rumble when Sami Zayn refused his Tribal Chief’s orders and slammed a steel chair into the back of Roman Reigns to the delight of all in attendance. A vicious attack by Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Reigns befell Zayn as a result but Jey Uso simply walked away and his future in the group remains unclear.
Jey Uso again seemed to come to Sami Zayn’s aid during his match at Elimination Chamber against Roman Reigns, stopping Reigns from dismantling Zayn with a steel chair. Ultimately, his distraction only proved to prolong the inevitable as Roman Reigns put Sami Zayn away with a massive spear.
It has been announced by the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario that Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Sami Zayn in a rare live event match for Reigns in a huge rematch.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the match is happening as Zayn and Kevin Owens were previously advertised to be taking on Reigns and Solo Sikoa on the show in a tag team bout. However, Zayn and Owens have not yet reconciled on WWE television. The live event takes place on the 4th of March so it doesn’t look like any making up will be done on the 3rd of March edition of SmackDown where Roman Reigns will come face-to-face with Cody Rhodes.
