Randy Orton Will be In WWE WarGames Says Dave Meltzer
Randy Orton is set to make his huge return to WWE after over a year out of action as part of WarGames at Survivor Series.
Randy Orton’s return to WWE has been the subject of intense speculation for months now as The Viper has been out of action since May 2022 and has undergone back surgery during his time away from the ring.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed earlier reports that Randy Orton will be the fifth man going up against The Judgment Day:
It’s five on five, it is gonna be Drew McIntyre and it’s gonna be Randy Orton. It’s actually been reported elsewhere but I actually got that confirmed a couple of days ago. Randy Orton’s going to be in WarGames.
[…] That’s been the schedule for the Orton return all along.
Randy Orton To Reunite With Some Old WWE Enemies In WarGames
With Drew McIntyre sealing a deal with Rhea Ripley on WWE Raw and looking like he’ll join The Judgment Day’s side, that leaves Randy Orton set to team with Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
That puts Orton on the same side as the man whose WWE career he once ended while part of The Authority in Rhodes, the man he once turned his back on while part of The Authority in Rollins, and the man who beat Orton in his last WWE match to date in Jey Uso. Sami Zayn might have his work cut out as a peacekeeper for his team.
