Randy Orton To Team With Fan Favourite On WWE SmackDown

Randy Orton WWE SmackDown contract

Randy Orton will return to the ring on SmackDown.

It’s been announced that Randy Orton will be continuing his battle with The Bloodline on SmackDown. The Viper was put out of action (in storyline) by the group back in May 2022 and he’s out for revenge. However, he won’t be seeking that revenge alone.

On the December 8th, Tribute To The Troops special edition of SmackDown, Orton will team with LA Knight to take on Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. A week earlier, Knight came to Orton’s aid after he was attacked by The Bloodline pair. As Knight brawled with Sikoa backstage, Randy Orton hit Jimmy with an RKO before signing a SmackDown exclusive contract.

Also announced for SmackDown:

  • CM Punk returns
  • WWE United States Title Tournament 1st Round: Bobby Lashley vs. Karrion Kross
  • WWE United States Title Tournament 1st Round: Dragon Lee vs. Santos Escobar
  • Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka

Randy Orton Linked With Huge Match With Roman Reigns

With Roman Reigns unlikely to wrestle before the Royal Rumble, attention has turned to who the Tribal Chief will be facing at the event in January 2024. While it’s been reported that LA Knight won’t be getting a rematch at the show, and Kevin Owens has ruled himself out of a match for the World Title, The Viper could be next in line.

Randy Orton has been “considered” for a match with Roman Reigns, and backstage leaks have given other hints. Orton’s segment on the December 1st edition of SmackDown was produced by Michael Hayes who deals with storylines involving Reigns even when he’s not on the show.
