R-Truth has opened up about who came up with the idea for his involvement with The Judgment Day group on WWE Raw.

The Judgment Day group loves to brag about how they run WWE and the Raw brand, but they don’t necessarily presence of R-Truth. The Judgment Day consists of Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, WWE Tag Team Champions Damian Priest & Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh. Priest is also “Senor” Money in the Bank as well.

After missing most of 2023 due to a serious leg injury suffered in late 2022, veteran WWE superstar R-Truth returned to the Raw brand in late 2023 and has been part of a storyline where he thinks he is in The Judgment Day. As usual with R-Truth, it has led to many funny moments because he is known as one of the funniest wrestlers in WWE history.

During an interview on Busted Open Radio, R-Truth revealed that it was Priest who came up with the idea for Truth to get involved with the group. Truth spoke about how he felt when he came back after the time off due to injury.

“I was happy. I was ready to get out of the house and go back to the sport that I love. When they said I was working with Judgment Day, I was like, ‘Let’s do it. What are we doing?’ They could have said I was working with anybody and I was ready. I will say this, Judgment Day, they all want me.”

As he continued, R-Truth revealed that Damian Priest really wanted more of Truth with The Judgment Day.

“Just the first promo. I will say Damian Priest, he was like, ‘Bro, we should keep you around. This thing is working.’ He actually went to, I think it was Hunter [Triple H] and the writers. Damian Priest fought for it.”

R-Truth Will Be In A Match Against The Judgment Day On WWE Raw

The situation between R-Truth and The Judgment Day has taken a turn recently due to the group being frustrated by Truth’s actions. On the January 15th edition of Raw, R-Truth will team with The Miz to reform “The Awesome Truth” against Damian Priest & Finn Balor of The Judgment Day.

It’s a non-title match, but if Truth & Miz win then perhaps it could become a Tag Team Title match in the future.
