Potential Spoilers On WWE Stars Returning At The Royal Rumble
Several big names are rumored to be returning at the Royal Rumble.
The Royal Rumble is WWE’s first big PPV/PLE of the year and one of its ‘Big Four’. This year’s event takes place on Saturday, January 28th, and emanates from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
As of this writing, four matches have been announced for the show: Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight, Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, and both the men’s and women’s Rumble matches.
For the men’s Rumble, six participants have been announced: Kofi Kingston, Santos Escobar, Ricochet, Austin Theory, Seth Rollins, and Bobby Lashley.
For the women’s Rumble, three have been announced: Liv Morgan, Candice LeRae, and Rhea Ripley.
However, PWInsider is reporting that at least four wrestlers are rumored to be retuning at the Royal Rumble.
From what PWInsider was told, both Edge and Beth Phoenix are scheduled to return at the event. This coincides with an earlier report that Edge and Finn Balor are believed to be competing in a Hell in a Cell match at the event.
On the women’s side, it’s being reported that Doudrop will be returning after spending several months off fighting an undisclosed illness.
Lastly, on the men’s side, the report suggests that Logan Paul will also appear at the Royal Rumble. However, details remain unclear on whether this would be only an appearance or anything physical since Paul is still dealing with injuries sustained his match with Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel.
