A popular SmackDown star will be sticking with the company for a few more years.

In recent weeks it’s been revealed that Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Dominik Mysterio, and Rey Mysterio have all signed new multi-year contracts with the company. The deal involving Flair was especially eye-catching as it’s believed it’s one of the biggest ever offered to a female performer.

It’s now been reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that Zelina Vega has also signed a new multi-year contract. The LWO star initially signed with the company in 2017 and found success alongside Andrade El Idolo before being released in November 2020. Vega was let go after opposing WWE’s policy on controlling third-party platforms such as Twitch.

However, the star was back with the company eight months later and went on to win the Queens Crown Tournament in Saudi Arabia. Vega has been part of the Latino World Order since just before WrestleMania 39 and famously wrestled Rhea Ripley at Backlash in Puerto Rico.

Will Cody Rhodes Be Next WWE Star To Re-Sign?

In the lead-up to Christmas, it was reported that WWE was interested in signing Cody Rhodes to a new long-term deal. It’s believed that the American Nightmare’s current contract runs until 2025.

However, this was disputed by a different report which noted Cody Rhodes had actually signed a contract back in October. However, this report was also disputed, with the latest update commenting that the original offer was made to Rhodes in October, but it wasn’t signed at that point. But, a contract is expected to be signed, as an agreement is already in place.
