Paul Heyman Comments On Upcoming WWE NXT Appearance
Paul Heyman is intending to shine a light on the rising stars of WWE.
Providing his guidance to someone who is not in The Bloodline, Heyman will be making a rare trip to Tuesday nights on October 10th to assist Bron Breakker in his match against Carmelo Hayes. While speaking with Sports Illustrated, The Wiseman explained why the main roster appearances on NXT are great for the third brand:
“The guest appearances on this show are merely to call attention to the enormously gifted talent pool that is offered to the viewer on a weekly basis every Tuesday night. I would humbly suggest this NXT roster can compete with any claim there has ever been a more significant or more talented roster,”
Not wanting to be at a disadvantage in his match against Breakker, Carmelo Hayes will have backup from 16-time champion John Cena. Heyman also commented on Cena in the interview, revealing why Cena would never consider joining The Bloodline:
“John Cena is so comfortable in his righteousness that he would never be able to live with himself knowing the compromise of conscience that would be necessary to be a full-fledged member of The Bloodline. Besides that, he is a highly intelligent and savvy self-promoter. Cena could never accept that, in The Bloodline, he’d be number two behind Roman Reigns, if not number three behind Roman Reigns and Solo–if not number four behind Roman Reigns, Solo, and Jimmy Uso–if not number five behind Roman Reigns, Solo, Jimmy Uso, and Paul Heyman. Cena is an enormous attraction. He’s also smart. He knows he’ll always be positioned as number-one on the marquee against us, but never with us.”
Paul Heyman Prepares For The Return Of Roman Reigns
When all is said and done in NXT, Heyman’s next assignment will be on October 13th when Roman Reigns makes his return to SmackDown after a lengthy absence. With The Tribal Chief now reigning as Universal Champion for over 1,100 days, Heyman always knew that Reigns would have a lengthy title reign.
