Pat McAfee Wins Big At WrestleMania 39
Pat McAfee proved that surprise WrestleMania matches are here to stay as he defeated The Miz in an impromptu match in Los Angeles.
Pat McAfee was a featured part of WrestleMania in 2022 with the star defeating Austin Theory before competing in possibly the unlikeliest WrestleMania match ever when he was defeated by Vince McMahon.
McAfee began his WWE career as part of NXT and in April 2021, it was announced that he was to become a permanent part of the SmackDown announce team alongside Michael Cole. However, he has been on hiatus from that role since September 2022 due to his commitments on ESPN’s College GameDay.
WWE CEO Nick Khan previously seemed to confirm that McAfee wouldn’t be a part of the show in LA but he also promised a bunch of surprises for the show and McAfee proved to be one of those.
With The Miz and Snoop Dogg taking to the ring before the main event, The Miz ran his mouth a bit too loud and a bit too long as Pat McAfee answered an open challenge before Snoop Dogg made the match official.
The Miz attempted to walk out of the match before getting in the face of San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle with Kittle then taking the former WWE Champion out with a clothesline. McAfee got The Miz back in the ring and finished him off with a punt for the win.
