On a night when TNA held its Genesis pay-per-view, one of the company’s champions was elsewhere destroying their title in an unplanned moment.

Genesis saw Joe Hendry capture the TNA World Championship for the first time in his career as he defeated Nic Nemeth for the gold.

Tessa Blanchard claimed a victory over Jordynne Grace as Grace looks to be done with the company and could be WWE-bound very soon. Moose, Spitfire, The Hardys, and Masha Slamovich all held onto their respective titles as several NXT stars turned up on the PPV but one TNA champion was elsewhere causing absolute mayhem.

PCO Destroys TNA Title

TNA Digital Media Champion PCO turned up but not at TNA’s PPV. Instead, PCO was at The People vs. GCW where he took out his title belt and smashed it with a sledgehammer. PCO started cutting a very anti-TNA promo before the ring announcer snatched the microphone back and GCW cut to a video.

Fightful Select has now reported that GCW has claimed they did not know PCO was going to do any of that. They allege that PCO had made it seem like his actions were going to be part of a TNA storyline but they quickly became aware that it wasn’t.

TNA sources were said to have been shocked and that PCO was meant to finish up with the company at their next set of tapings on the 23rd and 24th of January in San Antonio, Texas. PCO’s contract with TNA expired at the end of 2024 and he’s not expected back.
