Orange Cassidy Explains Why The Elite Re-Signing With AEW Is A “Huge Deal”

Orange Cassidy has commented on how big it is that The Elite decided to re-sign with All Elite Wrestling.

This coming Sunday at AEW All Out, Orange Cassidy will defend the International Championship against his toughest opponent to date: Jon Moxley.

While Orange Cassidy has over 30 successful title defenses of the International Title and has a singles record of 22-0 this year, he has yet to face somebody that’s as big of a name as Moxley.

During his AEW career, Jon Moxley is the only three-time AEW World Champion in company history. Orange Cassidy has been in the company just as long as Moxley has, but he hasn’t been in as many high-profile feuds as Moxley in his career.

Orange Cassidy Believes The Elite Re-Signing With AEW Was Huge For The Company’s Future

In early August, it was announced that The Elite’s Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) and “Hangman” Adam Page had all re-signed with AEW on long-term deals. Omega and The Young Bucks will continue to be Executive Vice Presidents in the company as well as wrestlers.

Orange Cassidy was interviewed by Barstool Rasslin’ and he spoke about how big it was for AEW to have The Elite remain in the company.

“This company wouldn’t exist without them. It’s very clear. It’s very apparent. If you don’t think that, then you don’t know what AEW is and that’s fine but they are the heart, they are the soul, they are everything that AEW represents.”

“Without those guys, I wouldn’t be sitting here with you. They allowed me to be me. I could be me and I could thrive in an environment where you could just be yourself. Them re-signing is a huge deal because I kind of want to wrestle them at some point.”
