Orange Cassidy Celebrates AEW Title Win With Injured Star
It wasn’t just Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta who joined Orange Cassidy to celebrate his AEW All Atlantic Championship victory.
Kris Statlander has returned to All Elite Wrestling, in a way.
The former ‘Galaxy’s Favourite Alien’, currently out of action with multiple knee injuries, joined in with the celebrations following Orange Cassidy’s victory of the AEW All Atlantic Championship on the 12 October Dynamite. ‘Freshly Squeezed’ triumphed over the Death Triangle man in the pair’s fourth singles match, having recently come up short at Grand Slam Dynamite.

Though the segment wasn’t aired, it marked Kris Statlander’s first physical appearance since revealing her injury setbacks in August. She told the severity of her injuries during the Road To West Virginia video published on AEW’s YouTube channel, admitting that she’ll miss at least half a year of competition.
Prior to her injury, Statlander had been the number three-ranked performer in AEW’s women’s division, positioning her as a potential challenger for either AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa or AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill. Her absence from the subsequent rankings was explained by commentary during Dynamite’s Quake By The Lake special.
The New Yorker last wrestled enhancement talent Sierra on the AEW Dark episode taped 5 August for a 9 August transmission.
