One WWE Star Is Another Step Above Everybody Else, Says Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash Compares Controversial WWE Incident To United States National Tragedy

Kevin Nash is regarded as a legend in WWE, and his statements about the current landscape of professional wrestling are highly respected due to his vast experience and influence throughout his career. Therefore, when Nash calls a wrestler the top guy, his words are backed by firsthand experience at the highest levels of the industry.

Roman Reigns has been the face of WWE in recent years, putting together a track record that stands out among all active wrestlers. His reign as the Universal Champion became historic as he held the title for over 1,400 days, smashing records and establishing one of the longest world title streaks of the modern era.

The Tribal Chief’s streak saw him defeat major stars like John Cena (SummerSlam 2021), Brock Lesnar (WrestleMania 38), and Cody Rhodes (WrestleMania 39), further solidifying his star power.

WWE strategically books him only for marquee events, headline championship matches, and special storylines, further reinforcing his position at the top tier. Reigns’ contract is also reflective of his status.

According to reports, Roman Reigns is one of WWE’s highest-paid superstars, earning an estimated annual salary between $5 million and $10 million, excluding bonuses for special events and merchandise sales. His pay, presentation, and booking all indicate that WWE views him as a generational megastar.

Kevin Nash Praises Roman Reigns

Keeping all this in mind, Kevin Nash recently endorsed Roman Reigns on his Kliq This podcast and made a bold statement, claiming that The OTC sits at the top of the talent ladder as he’s the best in the business.

“I’m not [ready to admit how overrated Reigns is]. To me, man, when he comes out, there’s a charisma and a star quality to him. He’s another step above everybody else.”

Currently, Roman Reigns is feuding with The Vision on Monday Night Raw, and his storyline continued to evolve on the October 6, 2025, episode of Raw, where he challenged Bronson Reed to an Australian Street Fight match at Crown Jewel, which will be held at the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, Australia.
