One NXT champion had to withdraw from a title match at the last minute due to an apparent injury but there’s every chance they were trying to pull the wool over their challenger.
Noam Dar was set to defend his NXT Heritage Cup against the impressive Nathan Frazer on the 13th of June edition of the show. However, after Frazer came to the ring the Scottish Supernova made his entrance on crutches and noted that he was too injured to compete.
However, not all was lost for Nathan Frazer as Dar named his Meta-Four partner Oro Mensah as his replacement with the cup still on the line. Mensah was joined at ringside by Dar as well as Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson while Frazer has Dragon Lee in his corner for the bout.
Legend and Jackson tried to interfere in the match but they were chased off by Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon which allowed Frazer to pick up the win and the NXT Heritage Cup with it. Noam Dar was seen at ringside inconsolable after losing his title without even competing.
It is unknown if Dar’s injury is legitimate or if it is part of the storyline and perhaps a way for Dar to finagle his cup back from Frazer.
