NXT Star Not On WWE Main Roster Despite SmackDown Appearance

Despite an appearance on SmackDown one NXT star looks set to remain with WWE’s third brand.

After being called up to SmackDown in October, Dragon Lee has starred opposite Austin Theory and Cedric Alexander catching the eye with with impressive in-ring performances. Lee’s most recent outing came against Axiom on the November 17th edition of the blue brand.

The match was incredibly well-received by fans, with some wondering whether Axiom could now become a regular on the main roster.

However, according to Fightful Select, the star looks set to remain with NXT for the time being.

NXT Stars Set For WWE SmackDown Return

While Axiom won’t be sticking around on the blue brand, at least for now, Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo could be about to return to the main roster. It’s been reported by Dave Meltzer that Los Lotharios could be returning to SmackDown to join forces with Santos Escobar.

Escobar is currently at war with the LWO after turning his back on the faction by attacking Rey Mysterio. The WWE Hall of Famer is expected to be out of action until 2024 after undergoing knee surgery.
