Top NXT Star Injured, Title Match Hangs In The Balance

The card for NXT Halloween Havoc could be about to undergo some changes.

On the October 17 episode of SmackDown, Sol Ruca and Zaria finally got their shot at the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The two NXT standouts became the de facto number one contenders after beating Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre.

However, when all was said and done, it was Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair who retained the gold. The end of the match came when Flair locked Ruca in the Figure Eight, forcing the young double champion to submit.

Unfortunately for Ruca, her efforts to win the tag titles might have come at a cost.

Sol Ruca To Address NXT Status

In WWE’s preview for the October 21 edition of NXT, it’s not that Sol Ruca will address fans and give an update on her status after suffering an injury on SmackDown. There’s no word on exactly what the injury is.

Meanwhile, General Manager Ava said on social media that she’ll be in the ring with Ruca to untangle “unforeseen circumstances have come up.”

Sol Ruca is the Women’s Speed Champion and also the Women’s North American Champion. She’s scheduled to defend the North American Title at Halloween Havoc on October 25.
