NXT Star Injured In Big Title Match
NXT Spring Breakin’ saw several title matches take place but it was a rough night for Indi Hartwell who appeared to pick up an injury as she defended her NXT Women’s Championship.
Hartwell won the title back at Stand & Deliver in a six-woman ladder match that also involved Tiffany Stratton, Lyra Valkyria, Gigi Dolin, Zoey Stark, and the former champion Roxanne Perez. At Spring Breakin’ on April 25th, it was Perez and Stratton who had another chance to take home the gold.
During the match, Tiffany Stratton hit Indi Hartwell and Roxanne Perez with a big dive to the outside and as contact was made, Hartwell crumpled underneath Stratton with her leg bent back on itself in a gruesome moment. Stratton and Perez continued the bout while Hartwell was looked at by WWE’s medical staff before she was escorted to the back.
Hartwell was able to re-emerge to finish the match and pinned Perez to retain her title after pulling Tiffany Stratton off of the former champion.

Fellow NXT star Dijak also took to social media to quell any questions about the legitimacy of Hartwell’s injury as he says he was next to her when she was being evaluated by medical staff:
“If anyone was wondering, I happened to be sitting next to @indi_hartwell
in medical while they were evaluating this gruesome injury mid-match and she was no selling the sh*t out of it like an absolute badass.”
