Nikki Garcia Confirms Decision On AEW

The Bellas WWE Nikki Garcia Brie Garcia

Brie and Nikki Garcia may no longer be a part of WWE but the issue of them moving on to be a part of AEW appears to be a non-starter.

The Bellas were a key fixture in the women’s division of WWE for years with Nikki and Brie both winning the Divas Championship at different times. The pair’s full-time in-ring careers came to an end towards the end of 2018 but both Bellas were a part of the women’s Royal Rumble match in 2022. The Bellas were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the Class of 2020.

But now the twin’s time in WWE has come to an end with The Bellas announcing they will now be known as Brie and Nikki Garcia as they move on to the next stage of their career. Naturally, this has caused rampant speculation that the Garcia Twins are about to join AEW especially as they were recently seen backstage at a show.

Speaking live on Instagram, Nikki Garcia confirmed that they will not be joining AEW and says they were at the show primarily to visit Brie’s husband Bryan Danielson:

“That’s the same. There’s no hard feelings. I get because of everything in the past, especially the past maybe six months, it seems that way. We’re not going to AEW. I’ve seen a lot of that, because we are just there visiting Renee and Paige.

“I was like, I haven’t had an opportunity to take Matteo backstage to a wrestling event, and when he knew uncle Bryan was gonna be there, Matteo loves his uncle Bryan. Brie and I are like, we have to go see Bryan. The kids had so much fun.”

The Garcia Twins have been welcomed “to freedom” by a current AEW star who also left WWE after a long stretch in the company.
