Bryan Danielson “In A Ton Of Pain” After Revolution

Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson and MJF went to war at Revolution over the AEW World Championship and it is safe to say that neither competitor might ever be the same again.

The bout was tied at three falls each when time expired resulting in a draw. Tony Khan intervened and ordered the bout to be restarted with sudden death overtime and MJF ended up picking up the win after he cracked Danielson in the head with a metal oxygen canister before making The American Dragon tap out to his own LeBell Lock.

Following the match, Danielson cut a heartfelt promo on Dynamite where he said it was “time to go home” leading to some speculation over his long-term wrestling future.

Speaking on the Unconsciously Coupled podcast, Bryan Danielson discussed just how banged up he is after the match and how that affects his time with his two young children:

“Legitimately, I’m in a ton of pain. I just wrestled for over 65 minutes. I’ve got a black eye. I can’t lift my left arm past here [partially raises arm]. I have shooting pain going down my leg. There’s this big gaping wound on my stomach. Those kind of things, it’s like, ‘Oh, sorry, daddy is in a lot of pain.’ They understand that, but as they get older, they’re going to understand that some of this is not physical.”

MJF may have walked away from Revolution with his AEW World Title but Jim Ross has claimed that the star went “too far” during the match.
