Nick Aldis “Owed Money” By NWA After Explosive Exit
Nick Aldis says he felt betrayed by NWA exit.
Nick Aldis had been the face of the rejuvenated NWA when Billy Corgan took over the promotion with the English star front and centre as the Worlds Heavyweight Champion. Aldis and that title took centre stage at the original All In show when Cody Rhodes won the title held three times by his legendary father.
Aldis won the title back just 50 days later when he defeated Rhodes at the NWA 70th Anniversary show. Nick Aldis then held that title for almost three years, losing it to Trevor Murdoch in August 2021 and one year later he had his last match in the promotion after a very public falling out.
Speaking on K100 with Konnan, Nick Aldis addressed his messy exit from the NWA, noting that he felt betrayed by the promotion’s Director of Talent Relations Pat Kenney and that he was still owed money:
“I don’t want to air dirty laundry laundry, but [Pat Kenney] showed his true colors with my exit from NWA. I don’t want to get into it too much, but they owe me money, and it’s probably never gonna come. I felt betrayed by Pat, and I’ll just leave it at that.”
Is Nick Aldis going to WWE?
Ever since Nick Aldis left the NWA, speculation has been rife that he is destined to be on his way to WWE. Aldis returned to IMPACT Wrestling in 2023 but he remained cagey in the same interview when he answered “I cannot confirm or deny” regarding rumours that he was going to WWE.
