NFL Star Given Warning Following WWE Appearance
Fans might have loved it, but one WWE cameo wasn’t popular with everyone.
In recent years, professional wrestling has become popular in mainstream entertainment circles once again with several celebrities making appearances with AEW and WWE. Especially in WWE things have gone up a level with the likes of Bad Bunny and Logan Paul impressing in the ring despite not being full-time wrestlers.
Elsewhere, it’s no secret that the San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle is a huge WWE fan, having been shown in the crowd at several events. However, he got to do a little more than watch at WrestleMania 39 as Pat McAfee took on The Miz in an impromptu match.
After talking trash to The Miz as he battled with McAfee, Kittle flattened the former World Champion with a clothesline helping the announcer to victory.
George Kittle Told Off Following WWE WrestleMania Spot
In a new interview with ESPN, Kittle revealed he got a text from 49ers general manager John Lynch, simply reading “Hope you had fun, don’t do that again,” after the match.
The NFL star hadn’t mentioned he’d be getting physical at WrestleMania, surmising that as long as he didn’t get hurt, there’d be no issues.
A year later, Philadelphia Eagles stars Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson made their own WrestleMania debuts, helping Rey Mysterio and Andrade to victory over Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio.
