NFL Rookie Reacts To AEW’s Tony Khan In A Neckbrace

Tony Khan AEW

Tony Khan appeared in a neckbrace during the NFL Draft and a rookie on the Jacksonville Jaguars reacted to it.

In the main event segment of AEW Dynamite in Jacksonville, Jack Perry was on Dynamite for the first time in eight months since he got into a backstage fight with CM Punk at AEW All In.

The segment saw Perry standing in the ring where he called out AEW Owner, CEO & GM Tony Khan. Perry wanted to be reinstated by Khan and it looked like Tony agreed since they hugged in the ring. As it turned out, Perry wasn’t sincere because he punched Tony in the ribs with the microphone.

Perry’s allies in The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson & Kazuchika Okada) joined him in the right to feign concern for Khan. Okada signaled to The Young Bucks to do a double team move, so they did their double team Meltzer Driver piledriver, which is now being called the TK Driver. This led to several people checking on Tony, including his billionaire father Shad Khan.

While wrestling fans know Tony Khan for being the AEW Owner, his father Shad also owns the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and Tony is an Executive on the team. At Thursday’s NFL Draft, there was a shot of the Jaguars office featuring Head Coach Doug Pederson, Owner Shad Khan and there was Tony Khan as well sporting a neckbrace to sell the attack from The Young Bucks on Dynamite.

Rich Eisen of NFL Network reacted to Tony wearing a neckbrace with these comments.

“As Tony Khan becomes the first ever NFL executive in a draft room shaking off the effects of a piledriver he received on national television in a wrestling ring the night before.”

As you can see in the video, Shad Khan had a smirk on his face while supporting his son’s willingness to sell a pro wrestling angle during the NFL Draft.

How Did Jacksonville’s New Wide Receiver Brian Thomas Jr. React To Tony Khan?

With the 23rd pick in the NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected a promising young Wide Receiver named Brian Thomas Jr. from LSU (Louisiana State University). The NFL on CBS social team informed Thomas about what happened to Brian’s new boss Tony Khan. Thomas shared positive thoughts.

“Hope you shake back from your injury. Speedy recovery!”

The NFL Draft continues on Friday and Saturday since the process takes three days to complete the seven rounds. Tony Khan will be busy on Saturday especially because he’s also going to be running AEW’s Collision and Rampage shows on Saturday night.
