News: Steve Cutler Released by WWE, Cutler Issues Statement
It was announced tonight by WWE that they have released Steve Cutler, who was last seen on the Smackdown brand.
WWE released the following statement on their website: “WWE has come to terms on the release of Steve Cutler. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Cutler was one of the knights, along with Wesley Blake, that was the backup of King Corbin. However, in the last few weeks, Cutler and Blake were not used. Prior to that, Cutler was part of the Forgotten Sons tag team along with Blake and Jaxson Ryker. That group was split up after controversial comments from Ryker. Now, Ryker is paired with Elias while Cutler is out of a job and we don’t know what Blake’s future is.
Cutler tweeted a statement saying he was shocked by the news and also looks forward to 90 days when he’ll be a free agent.
Unfortunately, today I was released. It was shocking, to say the least. But, I am excited about the future and all the possibilities in front of me.
Thanks for your continued support.
90 days… the countdown begins🍻🍻

TJR Thoughts: I don’t know much about Cutler. I think it’s a case of the creative team not having anything for him and giving him a chance to prove himself elsewhere. Good luck to Steve.
