New WWE Champion Crowned On First SmackDown Of The Year

Ever since the introduction of the WWE Women’s United States Championship, Chelsea Green has been synonymous with the title, as she was the first-ever wrestler to hold the belt.

She held the title for a whopping 131 days before dropping it to Zelina Vega on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 41. Since then, she was on a quest to win the title back, and finally did so in November of last year.

She defeated Giulia for the belt on an episode of SmackDown in a quick match, which led to the Beautiful Madness targetting Chelsea Green and finally got her match tonight on SmackDown.

Giulia is a two-time WWE Women’s United States Champion now

Green and Guilia fought an exciting match on SmackDown, which saw both of them get multiple nearfalls. They were accompanied to the ring by Alba Fyre and Kiana James each and it proved handy for Giulia.

Chelsea had seemingly won the match after she hit a Rough Ryder on Guilia and had her down for a three count. However, the referee was distracted by James and never saw the cover.

Guilia used this opportunity to her advantage and finally managed to get the win after hitting Chelsea with a Nothern Lights Bomb to become a two-time Women’s United States Champion.
