New NXT Faction Formed In Shock Twist

wwe NXT Arena

NXT is never short of a shock and fans watching Battleground got just that when Oro Mensah broke bad to help Noam Dar retain the Heritage Cup.

At NXT Battleground Noam Dar put his Heritage Cup on the line against Dragon Lee and per the rules for such bouts, both competitors were allowed to have a corner man. Nathan Frazer seconded Lee while Noam Dar began the match without one.

Following the first round, a hesitant Oro Mensah appeared to stand in Dar’s corner but things soon unraveled as he attacked Nathan Frazer, apparently turning heel. Both Frazer and Mensah were sent to the back but Noam Dar had another trick or two still up his sleeve.

Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend have had crossed words with Dar on television in recent weeks but when Jackson distracted the referee, Legend nailed Dragon Lee with a bucket which allowed Dar to pick up the victory and retain the Heritage Cup.

After the bout, Oro Mensah re-emerged and celebrated with Jackson, Legend, and Dar indicating that the four NXT stars will be a unit moving forward.

It was a good night for the current champions on the NXT brand with all of them retaining their titles while Tiffany Stratton captured the vacant NXT Women’s Championship.
